05 · Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices Policy — Confirmation

I have read the Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices Policy (MC-QLD-DOC-05, version 1.0) in full, I understand it, and I agree to comply with it. I understand that a restrictive practice used as punishment, to enforce compliance, or for staff convenience is abuse and is reportable conduct; that I may use a restrictive practice only where it is lawful, authorised, necessary to prevent imminent harm, the least restrictive option, and for the shortest time possible; that I must never withhold food, drink, bedding, warmth, hygiene, family contact, cultural connection or education as a consequence; and that every use of a restrictive practice, including any physical intervention however brief, must be reported to my manager during the shift and recorded. I understand that this form and my signature are a legal record kept on my personnel file.
